Take the N3 Take the Howick/Tweedie turnoff.
If traveling from Joburg, go right over freeway towards Tweedie
If traveling from Durban, go left towards Tweedie (1km)
At T junction go right towards Lions River/Balgowan
Go approx 5kms, past Thokans cash store on left, go another 2kms til another T junction to the left called “Dargle/Impendle”
If you carry on past this turnoff you will see Piggly Wiggly on your left…butternut coloured thatch place….has wonderful breakfasts and lunches.
Take Dargle turnoff to the left and go 6kms, past Dargle store (pumpkin coloured shop…does great pizzas!!!!), down steep hill and up the next hill.
At the top you will see the HorsePlay sign and the D17 sign. Turn right into D17. Dirt road.
Follow the HorsePlay signs til the top of hill, farm no12, with big stone pillars and wall. Do not go down driveway at bottom of hill that says Kilgobbin, nor the little one to the right of my stone wall driveway that says Crabapple cottages…these are my neighbours and not us!!!
Drive through the stone walls and go straight past the homestead driveway, through the farm gate, past the barn (that is the Cairn) on the left, and to your right you will see the designated cottage parking on the opposite side of the road to the barn. The cottages are to the right and in front of you…the double storey one is Gobbins and the little one is the Coop. We leave the cottages open when we know you are on your way, so let yourself in, and make yourself at home.
